Privacy Policy

Your full training history (results, personal bests, streaks) lives in your browser’s localStorage and can be cleared anytime. Separately, finished rounds are submitted anonymously — game, time, errors and a random device ID, never your name, email or IP — to power global statistics and public leaderboards. This is on by default and you can turn it off in any results panel. Feedback you send contains your message and, if you choose, a contact email.

We use Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) to understand aggregate site usage: which pages are visited, approximate region, and device type. GA4 does not log or store your IP address and never receives your training data. It sets a first-party cookie (_ga) only to distinguish visits. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site — such as which pages get attention and where people get stuck — so we can improve it. Clarity works with a random ID stored in first-party cookies (such as _clck and _clsk) and never receives your localStorage training data. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement. You can opt out by blocking cookies or scripts from clarity.ms in your browser. Microsoft Privacy Statement

localStorage is used for your training history and interface preferences (theme, language). The analytics cookies are Google Analytics’ _ga and Microsoft Clarity’s _clck/_clsk, described above.

Pages are served as static files. The third-party scripts loaded today are Google Analytics (gtag.js, from googletagmanager.com) and Microsoft Clarity (from clarity.ms). Anonymous score submissions go to our own API (schultelab.org/api, hosted on Cloudflare and Supabase) for global stats and leaderboards.
